The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) is seeking commercial vendors of technology which will electronically detect and prevent double entry through an automated entry control portal based on one legitimate access authorization. Most automated entry control systems are not capable of preventing two people from entering a secure area on a single badge through a card reader or other systems utilizing electronic and biometrics technology. The system sought must have 95 per cent detection probability and must be capable of rapid evaluation for an immediate response for security forces to intervene. The system must be world-wide deployable, operate in foreign environments without degradation in system performance. The integration of potential systems with existing automated entry systems is also desired. Interested parties are requested to provide by 30 Sep 96: (1) specification or engineering documents or brochures which describe the capabilities of their commercially developed devices which meet the requirements specified above; (2) cost of these devices, both individually and in quantity; and (3) point(s) of contact which can provide additional information, if required. Based upon the results of this announcement, a solicitation may or may not be used at a later date.
