The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to negotiate a sole source to Rockwell Defense Electronics, Autonetics & Missile Systems Division, located in Anaheim CA. This acquisition is for: 1 ea, M-MIGITS INS/GPS, PN 822-899-001; and 1 PK, CABLES (Includes: Data Interface Connector/cable, PN M83513/03-G14C; Power Interface Connector/cable, PN M83513/03-A14C; and, IMV Interface Connector cable, PN M83513/03-F14C. This unit will be provided as Government furnished property and will be installed by Lockheed Martin Electronics & Missiles located in Orlando FL to supply position and velocity data to the PIRATE III Pod for the F-22. The INS/GPS unit is required to fit in a 5'' diameter enclosure. Delivery is required NLT 31 Dec 96. The statutory authority for this procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) only one responsible source and no other services or supplies will satisfy the agency requirements. Interested parties who can provide the equipment must respond in writing or by fax to (805) 258-9641 within 10 days of publication of this notice. Written responses must contain pricing information and detailed documentation to establish a bonafide capability to meet the stated requirements. No solicitation document exists therefore, request for such documents will be considered invalid responses. The Government shall be the sole determiner of its minimum needs. All responsible sources may submit a response which will be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written responses to this notice are received, negotiations will be conducted with Rockwell Defense Electronics. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
