58 -- JTIDS DEPOT MAINTANENCE CAPABILITY FOR AN/GSQ-24OA(C) RADIO SET SOL DAAB07- POC POC SHIRLEY HUGHES, Contract Specialist, (908)532-4840, HOMER O'KREPKI, Contracting Officer. The Department of the Army intends to solicit GEC, Wayne, NJ, O/A 16 Dec 96, for the depot maintenance capability for select subassembilies for the AN/GSQ-240A(c) Radio Set, NSN: 5820-01-2609,(JTIDS Class 2M Terminal). The contractor selected to perform the repair effort, will be responsible for turning the nonfunctional unit received from the field into a unit which meets the most current operational form, fit, and function as called out by applicable technical data. As part of the solicitation, the Government will purchase some additional test equipment to facilitate the effort with the understanding that the equipment purchased may be transitioned to another facility (organic or contractor). The Government will not provide any technical data to perform the effort: however, the Government expects the contractor to develop any necessary transition data. Offerors are required to propose a firm, fixed Price on a unit price basis for the repair of the subassemblies. The repair facility must be complete and operational by 1 January 1998.
