Higgins (617) 232-9500 x 5535 It is the intent of the DVA Medical Center, Boston, MA to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Boehringer Manheim Corporation, the manufacturer of the following government owned equipment, for full preventative maintenance and repair of an Hitachi Scientific Instruments Chemistry Analyzer model number 747 at this Medical Center. Period of performance shall be October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997 with three (3) one year renewal options. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be awarded. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received in writing within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice. If no responses are received by September 20, 1996 the VA will proceed with sole source intentions. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their response proving their capability to respond to the requirements. All requests for additional information must be in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer, reference the IFB number, the firm's name, point of contact, address and telephone number.
