The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 6.302-1 from Remline Corp., 139 Chestnut Hill Rd., Newark, DE 19713 for Mugs, Coloring Books, Growth Cahrts and Stadium Cupos for prize incentives for 5 A Day Events targeting adults and children. The 5 A Day for Better Health Program is a nationwide nutrition campaign to promote health of Americans in every state. The Program is jointly sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH), an organization representing the fruit and vegetable industry. NCI has licensed 55 states including US territories, and the District of Columbia to develop and implement 5 A Day Programs. States depend on NCI to supply them with nutrition educational materials to fuel their program activities. Remline Corp. is licensed to use the 5 A Day Program logo and is required to comply with the 5 A Day Program Guidelines for participation. The materials will be used in an upcoming annual 5 A Day campaign and dissemniated in bulk packages to each of the 55 state/territory health agency licensees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above, they may submit a statement of capabilities. Information furnished shall include enough materials, in sufficient detail, to perform a proper evaluation of their ability to perform and must be received within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
