specifications: 0.5 inch O.D. water male and female halfs quick
disconnects; Operating pressure range: 0 - 150 psia; Operating
temperature range: -65 to +325 degrees F; Water flow rate capability 0
- 1000 lb/hr; Able to connect/disconnect under operating pressure of
150 psia; Maximum pressure drop: 0.10 psid @ 1000 lb/hr; Maximum
leakage: 1x10-6 scc/sec of Helium; Maximum Air inclusion: 0.15 cc;
Maximum Spillage: 0.006 cc per disconnect; Maximum coupling/uncoupling
force: 14 lbs; Minimum number of mate/demate cycles: 1000; Must be
space qualified for manned mission; Must be a QD that has flown in a
manned space mission before and has already been approved by the
Astronaut Safety Review Board since it makes it easier to get approval
for flight; The quick disconnects will be mounted in the following
ways: 1) Panel jam nut with a straight male MS 33656-08 fitting; 2)
Panel jam nut with a 90o elbowed male MS 33656-08 fitting; 3) Flex Hose
mount with a male MS 33656-08 fitting. Material and fluid compatibility
per Spec. SSP3-0573 (Critical). This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-37. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for
this acquisition is 3429. The Small Business Size Standard is 500
employees. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified
Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition
Streamlining Act (FASA). The following provisions apply to this
acquisition: 52.212-1 - Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; 52.212-4
- Contract Terms and Conditions and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -
Commercial Items. Offerors must include a completed copy of the
provision 52.212-3 - Offeror Representations and Certifications -
Commercial Items with their offer. All documents related to this
procurement will be available via the NASA Internet Acquisition Service
(NAIS). The documents will reside on a World Wide Web server, which may
be accessed using client browsers, such as MOSAIC or Netscape. The WWW
