CORRECTED 8/29/96:(I)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemmented with
additional information included in the notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and
written solicitations will not be issued. (II) This solicitation is
issued as Invitation for Bid #138-0178. (III) The solicitation document
and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular FAC-39. (IV) This solicitation is A 100% small
business set-aside. The Standard Classication Code is 5087, with a size
standard of 100 employees. (V) LINE ITEM ONE: Offeror to provide One
(1) Washer/Extractor. Braun 200 Nuetron Nesp2, end loader, OR EQUAL,
with: Microprocessor control, two pocket, 200-250lb load capacity,
single speed extract, water level programmable in inches, temerature
programmable in degrees, solenoid hot & cold, solenoid steam valve, air
filter and pressure gauge, dump valve with boot, balancing, reversing
wash action, belt guards, manual soap chute, automatic jogging,
stationary contorl stand, non-fused disconnect switch, CSA and/or FM
approval, 208 volt, 60 cycle, 3 phase. LINE ITEM TWO: Offeror to
provide Two (2) Cissel model L44CD42S, OR EQUAL, 110lb capacity steam
dryers, with manual dual timer control, 4 steam coils, modular
electrical systems mesh lint screen, ''V'' belt drive, separate fan &
basket motors, reversing cylinder control, automatic backdraft damper,
end cycle, drying, and cooling indicator lights, 208 volt, 60 cycle,
3 phase electric, white in color. Delivery will be required in 60-90
days following award, F.O.B. Destination. (VI) Payment will be made in
accordance with the Prompt Payment Act. (VII) Delivery will made to:
United States Penitentiary, Terre Haute, Highway 63 South, Terre Haute,
IN 47808. (VII) FAR provision 52.212-1 instructions to
Offerors-Commerical Items is hereby included by reference. note (h)
Multiple Awards; the contractor may bid one or both items. (IX) FAR
provision 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commerical Items is incorporated by
reference with the following addenda: in paragraph (a) the Government
will evaluate proposals in the following order of importance: A: cost.
FAR provision 52.214-10 Contract Award - Sealed Bidding is hereby
incorporated by reference. (X) FAR provision 52.212-3 Offer
Representations and Certifications-Commerical Items will be completed
and submitted with this bid. (XI) FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms
and Conditions-Commerical Items hereby applies to this solicitation.

FAR Clause 52.225-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to

to this acquisition. In accordance with FAR clause 52.212-5, the
following clauses are hereby incorporated by reference in paragraph
