This action originally publicized in the CBD dated 8/21/96 as a combined CBD synopsis solicitation is amended to convert the solicitation to a negotiated procurement and to correct the solicitation number to read CNI-750,970-01. FAR provision 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items (Oct 1995), applies to this acquisition. The Government will award the contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and past performance considered. In order to evaluate past performance the offerors shall submit with their offer the following information concerning similar supplies furnished during the last three (3) years: name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and point of contact. The Government reserves the right to contact the owners of previous contracts for additional information and/or any other Government Agency. Price is an important evaluation factor for award; however, the past performance factor is significantly more important than price. The date and time for receipt of proposals remains at 2:00 p.m., local time, September 6, 1996. All the other information publicized in the orginal synopsis is correct.(0241)
