Donald, Contract Specialist, (904) 772-5031, extension 8211. Y199-Indefinite Quantity Painting Contract. The acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. Additionally, the eligibility requirements are restricted to firms in the transitional stage under this 8(a) program. The construction price range is between $5 million and $10 million. The work may be on various Government facilities in the southeast region. The primary work locations will be at various facilities on Naval Air Station Cecil Field, which include Outlying Field Whitehouse, Yellow Water Housing, Yellow Water Weapons, NAS Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Florida; Naval Station Mayport, Mayport, Florida; and facilities within a 50-mile radius of Navy Public Works Center, Jackonville, Florida. Painting work shall require the Contractor provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision to perform major and minor repair work, to prepare surfaces and paint facilities as directed. The solicitation will be available on or about 11 Sep 96 and closing date will be 30 calendar days from issuance. The term of the contract will be for a base year of twelve months with two options to extend the term; not to exceed 36 months.
