66 -- BIO-IMAGING ANALYSIS SYSTEM SOL 53SBNB6C9307 DUE 091296 POC Sandra Febach (301) 975-6326, FAX (301) 963-7732 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to purchase a Bio-Imaging Analysis System (BAS) with eraser, reader, and 20 x 25 cm plate to meet Government-provided specifications and to include a temporary loan of a line-pair phantom suitable for a 8.0 KeV X-ray spatial resolution test. The NIST requirment is to purchase a Fuji YBAS5000 (or equal) BAS, with 1 ea YBMAC (or equal) BAS 2.3 MacBAS software V2.3 or better for Macintosh; 1 ea YBIP2025TR (or equal) Tritium Plate, 20 x 25 cm; and 1 ea YBIPCAS25 (or equal) BAS Imaging Casette, 20 x 25 cm. The items above have been identified by a ''brand name or equal'' description, which is intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive, and is to indicate the quality and characteristics of products that will be satisfactory. Performance and Physical Specifications, which list all salient characteristics, are available and may be obtained via facsimile by calling the POC listed above. Quotations offering ''equal'' products will be considered for award. The quotation must list the manufacturer or brand name and model of the item to be furnished. This solicitation requires the submission of Descriptive Literature. Manufacturer's sales literature or other documentation shall be provided to show that offered product(s) meet or exceed requirements as specified in the Performance and Physical Specifications document referenced above. The system shall be warrantied a minimum of 1 year from time of installation, covering parts against manufacturing defect or failure during normal use. System shall be installed by the manufacturer at no additional cost. Manufacturer shall provide on-site training on installed system. Delivery shall be FOB Destination within 90 days after award. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 53SBNB6C9307 is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer.
