The Fleet Industrial and Supply Center (FISC), Phila. intends to procure pack & crate services in support of the Personal Property Office in Jacksonville, FL. Local move services with one-day turnaround are required to be performed within a 100 mile radius of the following counties: Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassua, Columbia, St. John's, Union, Alachua, Dixie, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion and Putnam in Florida, and Camden, Charleston and Glynn in Georgia. Requirement covers an estimated 1,100,000 pounds of goods. The contract shall include Item 0001 - complete service including premove surveys, servicing of appliances, disassembly of furniture, packaging, inventorying, tagging, wrapping, padding and packing at ower's residence to protect goods properly during transit, loading, weighing, drayage, unloading, unpacking, placement of articles at owner's residence and removal of empty containers from residence- of 2,000 NCWT (net 100 lbs.) during the period 01 Oct - 31 Dec 1996, item 0002 is the same as item 0001 during the period 01 Jan - 31 Dec 1997. Also, offerors shall provide prices for item 0003 for an attempted pick-up and 0004 an attempted delivery if owner's are not available, item 0005 is a price per mile for drayage beyond a 100 mile radius of the counties shown above. Services shall be ordered as required by personnel from FISC Jacksonville. This is a Fixed Price requirements type contract and is a secondary contract to Contract N00140-95-D-1159 with A-1 Gunn, Inc. to handle overflow that exceeds the guaranteed maximum daily capabilites under this contract. The basic performance period is 01 Oct 96 to 31 Dec 96 with an option (item 0002) for an additional year of services (01 Jan 97 to 31 Dec 97). Offerors must guarantee a maximum capability of processing 80, 000 lbs. of goods per day and a minimum capability of 50,000 lbs. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for CIs prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. No further written solicitation will be issued. Refer to solicitation as N00140-96-R-3511.
