Norfolk Detachment Washington (FISCNORVADETWASH) has a requirement for
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services. The interpreter
will interpret between English and ASL for one deaf computer
specialist at the Washington Navy Yard. Services will be provided for
eight (8) hours every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and for four (4)
hours every Wednesday during the period from 1 October 1996 through 30
September 1997. Work will involve interpretation for occasional
meetings and contact with customers. More than two hours of continuous
interpretation will not be required. The Government desires, but does
not require, the interpreter to be capable of providing training for
beginning ASL students. The evaluation process will include an
interview for all offerors which meet the minimum technical
requirements. Award will be made to the offeror which provides the best
overall value to the Government. The Request-for-Quote (RFQ) will be
issued on 10 September 1996 and the quotation will be due on 18
September 1996. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which
