The U.S. Government Printing Office intends to award a sole source contract to AT&T Global Information Sources for maintenance of font-end processors. Regularly scheduled preventive maintenance is required for the following: FEP Com system, storage expansion, IBM Channel INTE, RS 232C CCITT v.2, EIA?CCITT v.24 I/F, Storage Expansion Unit, Operand Storage Expansion, Storage Expansion Unit, ESC-MIM 16 line, DLC-MIM, T2023 Communications A, Module controller, T4009 Console, T7362 Disk Subsystem. Maintenance coverage is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Field engineering support and on-call maintenance are also required. Performance period is October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997. The operating environment is an Amdahl 5995 700A using MVS/XA. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis. Vendors that can provide this service shall submit in writing a statement declaring their ability and willingness to meet these requirements and state their prices for all items.
