MARKET SURVEY. The U.S. Coast is conducting a market survey to
determine whether commercial items or non-developmental items are
available that could meet the Coast Guard's requirement for
Photovoltaic Charge Controllers for solar powered marine aids to
navigation. The charge controllers will be used at solar powered
lighthouses and must be capable of controlling 180 amperes charge
current and 60 amperes load current. Charge controllers are of the
series interrupt type, with temperature compensation and adjustable
disconnect settings. Companies that have charge controllers that they
believe can meet or exceed the above mentioned performance capabilities
are invited to send information about their product to the above stated
address. Submit your information no later than September 11, 1996.
