Agency (USIA) International Bureau of Broadcasting (IBB) has a
requirement to replace the underground power cables which supply the
FAA tower lights at its Voice of America (VOA) Greenville Relay Station
(GRS) Sites A, B, and C. The Contractor shall be required to install a
new remote power panel and breakers run underground line from the
transmitter building at each Site and terminate at lighting control
boxes at antenna towers. The routes to these towers will include
crossing paved roads, drainage ditches, and other buried cables. The
period of performance is three (3) months from Notice To Proceed (NTP).
GRS is an active high frequency transmission site and work shall be
performed without interfering with its current broadcast schedule.
Facilities will be made available for Contractor pre-bid site visits,
and these dates will be identified in the upcoming IFB via RFQ. The IFB
will be available 15 days from the date of this notice. Construction
cost is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. Written requests
for copies of the IFB should be addressed to the POC noted above.
