D -- ADA VALIDATION PROGRAM SUPPORT/SERVICES SOL 52SBNB7C1003 POC Diane Loeb (301) 975-6399, Sharon Farinholt (301) 975-6339 The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) intends to procure Ada Validation Support/Expert Services in support of Department of Defense (DoD) formal validation of Ada compilers. DoD policy requires that the Ada programming language be used for all developed software delivered to DoD and that only validated Ada compiler(s) be used for DoD developed software. The contractor shall provide Ada validation service (the preparation of, performance of, and documentation of Ada compiler validations) to the NIST, follow all NIST validation procedures, provide monthly status reports, attend status meetings, and provide Ada related program management consultation services, including, but not limited to recommendations regarding test disputes, improvements to the validation program, and test suite implementation issues. All Ada validation work shall be performed at the contractor's facility and at the Ada implementor's designated on-site location. Upon completion of the on-site testing, the contractor shall provide a final Validation Summary Report (VSR), a notice of completion, and hard and soft copies of the test results. Services required under this contract will be ordered by issuance of task orders. Duration of this contract will be from the date of award through twelve (12) months, with four (4) twelve (12) month options to extend the period of performance for a total contract period not to exceed 60 months. It is anticipated that an RFP will be issued on or about September 25, 1996 with proposals due 30 days later. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
