M -- OPERATION OF JOB CORPS CENTER Sol RFP No. 96-RIV-JC-005 POC Wilma Stone, Contract Specialist or Melvin Collins, Contracting Officer, at (404) 347-3178 Request for proposals for the continued operation of the Kittrell Job Corps Center located in Kittrell, North Carolina will be available approximately September 12, 1996, for issue in response to written request. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period June 1, 1997 through May 31, 1999, plus 3 governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 350 students (150 residential males, 150 residential females, and 50 non-residential students of which 25 are males and 25 females). Contract will provide direct outreach/admission services for 175 students and statewide placement services for 1600 students. A pre-Proposal Conference for the Job Corps Center will be convened at Kittrell Job Corps Center. There will be a tour of the facility at Kittrell Job Corps Center at 9:00 a.m., local time on September 24, 1996. The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The contractor will also provide overall Center Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information.
