66 -- STANDING ORDER FOR LABORATORY TEST KITS SOL N0016897RC0L095 N/A DUE 083096. POC Contracting Officer, Sandra A. Musgrove, 401/295-6754. The National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Chemistry Branch, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole source standing order to Abbot Laboratories for tests kits for performing Glycated Hemaglobin testing on patient samples. Abbott Laboratories manufactures the only test kits for use with their equipment the IMX analyzer that NNMC currently owns. The following items will be procured (1) Ninety-six (96) kits 1A86-88 Glycated HGB reagent kit, 100 test, eight (8) kits to be delivered every month; (2) Six (6) kits 1A86-01 Glycated HGB calibrators, one (1) kit to be delivered every other month; (3) Twenty-four (24) kits 1A86-10 Glycated HGB controls, two (2) kits to be delivered every month; (4) Twelve (12) each 1A86-40 Glycated HGB Mode 1 calibrator, one (1) each to be delivered every month. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base period of one (1) year effective 1 October 1996 through 30 September 1997 with two (2) year options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) Award will be contingent upon availability of FY97 funding. (228)
