66 -- QUADRUPOLE MASS SPECTROMETER SOL RFQ 96-110 POC Barbara A. Curtiss Gas chromatograph specifications: shall be configured to accommodate the hewlett packard 7673a autosampler for liquid sample introduction. Must interface to any tekmar purge-and-trap, headspace or desorption unit. Data system must be able to control all autosampler injection and operation parameters and recall multiple sets of parameters. System will have a dual injector block design and an independently heated grob-type injector. The gc column oven will have an operating temp range of -99 degree c to 400 degree c -99 degree c to 400 degree c with subambient option using liquid nitrogen as a coolant. Must have multi-linear temperature programming capability with up to eight segments in increments as low as 0.1 degree c/min. Will be able to store and recall multiple sets of temperature profiles and instructions with all control and readout functions perfformed via the data system workstation. Must be able to be changed during a mass spec data acquisition run. Interface must be a direct line-of-sight connection and must allow the capillary column to terminate within one millimeter of the ion volume of the mass spectrometer ion source. Must be able to access and remove the interface within five minutes. Must have a binary solvent delivery system. The system will be able to use a minimun column size of 1.0 mm diameter. Provide a column flow range of 0.01 to 10 ml/min using a maximum pump pressure of at least 5800 psi and a flow rate precision of (0.3%. must have a variable wave length uv detector. The system shall be supplied with a hplc divert valve and operate either in automated or manual mode. The system shall be supplied with software kit. Kit shall include chameleon nfs/x networking software and include configuration instructions. The system shall be supplied with a kit to permit the interfacing of a capillary electrophoresis (ce) instrument to the api source of the mass spectrometer. The interface shall be supplied with a modified esi nozzle and all required tubing. Patent license shall be provided. Vendor shall supply a 21'' color monitor and initial supply of spare parts and consumables. Vendor shall supply a complete set of all operator and maintenance manuals and a one-year warranty.
