The contract is for Research and Development for the Source Preparation Segment of the DPS. The contract modification will be sole source to the existing contractor-E-Systems. The basis for sole source is the fact that the contractor is the original manufacturer of the Point Positioning Production System and has been the sole provider of the research and development effort on the system.
