AND NO IMMEDIATE PROCUREMENT OR RFP IS ANTICIPATED FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR.
NASA Johnson Space Center is seeking information on available
off-the-shelf air-borne or space-borne radar systems. The radar system
will be used for spacecraft deployment and rendezvous applications.
The radar system will be used to acquire and track large, slow-moving
targets to a range of 20-30 nautical miles and over an angular
uncertainty of +/-15 degrees. The radar must provide target angle,
angle rate, range, and range-rate data to a space-borne data system.
High grade commercial or Military Grade B parts are acceptable for this
hardware (S-level parts are not required). Vendors who have existing
designs or an existing product which is compatible with or easily
adaptable to these requirements are preferred. INTERESTED PARTIES WITH
THE QUALI- FICATIONS NECESSARY TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS

ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offers and potential
offerors during the preaward and postaward phases of this acquisition.
The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the
contracting officer, the Source Evaluation Board, or the selection
official, but to communicate concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations of interested parties to the appropriate Government
personnel and to work to resolve them. When requested, the ombudsman
will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
The ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the
source selection process, or the ajudication of formal contract
disputes. Interested parties are invited to call the installation
ombudsman, Susan H. Garman at 713-483-0490. Concerns, issues, and
disagreements which cannot be resolved at the installation may be
referred to the NASA ombudsman, Tom Luedtke at 202-358-2090. The
