Z -- IMPROVE MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING (PAIP VIII) - ANDERSEN AFB GUAM Solicitation No. F64133-96-R0006. Due 100996. Project consists of major renovation of 62 housing units at Andersen AFB Guam. Major elements of work include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Demolition of the interior and exterior of MFH units; (2) Installation of new doors, windows, walls, flooring, cabinets, hardware, air conditioning equipment/pads/enclosures, plumbing fixtures, painting (interior and exterior), piping, valves, ductwork, lighting fixtures, panelboards, switches, wiring, conduit and smoke detectors; (3) Trenching and backfilling, removal of debris and landscaping of disturbed areas; (4) Removal of asbestos containing material; and (5) Restoration of disturbed pavings, grades, slabs and landscapes to original condition. Project magnitude is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The performance period will consist of a 90-day mobilization period, followed by a 330-day construction period, for a total performance period of 420 calendar days. The solicitation will issue on or about 26 August 96, with proposals due by COB 9 October 96. A nonrefundable fee of $144.00, payable to the United States Department of the Treasury, is required for each solicitation package requested. This fee is intended to reimburse appropriated fund reproduction expenses associated with issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis; thus, all responsible mainland firms are encouraged to furnish their Federal Express, DHL, or Airborne Express account numbers with their requests to expedite delivery.
