The Windsor Facilities Service Office has issued a solicitation for a design/build project to replace the entire roof at the Boston General Mail Facility (GMF) at 25 Dorchester Avenue, Boston, MA. Sealed offers are due on or before Friday, September 6, 1996 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Award will be made based upon a technical and price proposal. The estimated cost of the work is between $3,000,000.00 and $4,000,000.00. The contract completion time is eighty (80) calendar days. Liquidated damages for this project will be assessed at $2,000.00 per day and an incentive of $5,000.00 will be paid for early completion. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a prepreposal conference held Wednesday, August 21, 1996 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Room B-27 on site to discuss the specifics of the project.
