Officer, 504/678-6375. This requirement is for a fixed priced purchase
order for one line item as follows: 1 EA Schroeder Hydraulic Drive
Test Bench Model 100-E with accessories. Minimum requirements are as
follows: 100 horsepower, 230/460 volt, 1800 RPM, 3 phase, 60 hertz
electrical drive with a start-stop push button mounted on the bench;
all controls and instrumentation horizontally mounted on top panel in
close proximity to work surface; dimensions not to exceed 65'' high x
80'' long x 45'' wide; weight not to exceed 4500 pounds; speed range in
both directions of at least 100 to 2400 RPM; 0-500 PSI test pressure;
main bench pump (variable piston) 38GPM: 5000 PSI; supplemental pump 20
GPM: 2000 PSI; 3 flow gauge scales (2 to 14; 8 to 36: 24 to 100 GPM);
100 gallon reservoir capacity; 1'' quick disconnects for pressure and
return ports; 1'' and 2'' quick disconnects for suction porting for
tested pumps. Accessories shall include the following at a minimum: Oil
cooler group; solenoid and pilot operated valve test group; suction,
pressure hose, and fittings group; spline shaft adapter kit; jib crane
group; spline shaft insert group; supplemental full flow in-line
pressure filtration group. Delivery of all items is required within 30
days after issuance of a purchase order. Deliveries shall be FOB
Destination to: Inspector Instructor, GSM Co, 4th Maint Bn, NMCRC Rock
Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-7400. Unloading shall be at the
expense of the contractor. Truck deliveries acceptable only between
the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, no delivery on holidays. Acceptance
will be made at destination. This requirement is for supplies for which
the government intends to negotiate with only one source under the
authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) as a result of
a standardization requirement. Interested persons may identify their
interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting
written quotes along with descriptive literature which clearly
demonstrates that the products offered clearly conform with the
requirements of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request
for quotes. However, all quotes received before the closing date will
be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not
to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this
notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Quotes must be
received no later than 2:00 p.m., local time 27 August 1996. Quotes
may be sent via the US Postal Service to the Regional Contracting
Officer, Marine Forces Reserve, 4400 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA
70146; hand carried directly to Building 603, Room 309; or faxed to
