FISC Norfolk Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis hardware maintenance and software technical support for 20 IRIS workstations for the period 1 Oct 1996 through 30 Sep 1997 for Naval Command, Control, and Ocean Surveillance Center (NCCOSC) Division Detachment, Philadelphia. The workstations are located at CMSAPAC, Camp Smith, HI and CMSALANT, Norfolk, VA. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Silicon Graphics, Inc. of Hudson, MA as the only known source with the required capability to provide the services/technical support. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information received.
