Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, MidwestArea, has the requirement for Replacing the Fire Alarm and Detection System in the North Administration Area and the North Laboratory Area at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) in Peoria IL. The work includes, but is not limited to providing and installing an addressable fire alarm and detection system compatible with a Simplex Fire Detection System including visual and audible (including voice) alarms, heat and smoke detection, fan control, and interconnection to existing fire suppression systems and portions of the existing fire alarm and detection system to remain active. The North Administrative area has approximately 13,500 SF, while the North Laboratory area has approximately 3,200 SF. The Magnitude of construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposal No. 5114-6-3035. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on or about August 26, 1996, with proposals to be received not later than 2:00 pm (CST), September 16, 1996.
