This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for proposal. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-40. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5047. Small business size standard is 100 employees. Price shall be submitted as follows for each item: CVIS INSIGHT III OR EQUAL, Part number 15006, CVIS CATHETER part numbers C1015 and C1016 or equals. Equipment and supplies are manufactured by Boston Scientific Corporation and distributed by Scimed Life Systems, Inc. Prices on catheters shall be submitted for a one year period(Base Year) and two seperate option years listed as Option Year I and Option Year II. Offers shall be submitted with F.O.B. destination pricing. Intravascular ultrasound imaging system shall consist of mechanical sector scanner. System shall have the ability to provide multiple frequency of operations such as ten, fifteen, and twenty megahertz. Motorized pull-back mechanism that allows for constant withdrawal of intravascular ultrasound imaging catheter at a constant speed of 0.5 m/s or 1 m/s. System shall also have the ability to send RF output signal that will allow for quantitative analysis of the back scatter of the ultrasound signal.
