Under authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1), the Government intends to solicit from only one source, Harris Corporation, RF Communications, for the purpose of establishing a Firm Fixed Price contract, for the purchase of those items stated in the original synopsis. This is a lightweight COMSEC radio covering tactical FM channels, embedded encryption, built-in frequency hopping, data capability, and voice digitization. A single radio incorporates what is normally three separate components to acheive the secure communications and interoperates with virtually all currently deployed VHF/UHF radios. Tentative issue date remains 8/19/96. Tentative closing date remains 9/18/96. Responses to this synopsis must contain the company name, address, phone number, point of contact, facsimile number if any, name of the person responding to the synopsis. Responses must indicate that your company is not currently on the List of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement or Nonprocurement Programs.
