65 -- OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE (O&M) FOR MEDICAL FACILITIES SOL DACA87-96-R-0046 DUE 093096 POC Contract Specialist Edna Sheridan (205) 895-1146 (Site Code DACA87) The U. S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, has a requirement for procurement of operation and maintenance and incidental repair and replacement services at Government facilities in the Continental United States, Hawaii and Alaska. Fulfilling individual requirements for supplies and services will be achieved under the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 16.505 (Ordering), by the implementation of task orders issued under the proposed contract. Task orders may require the contractor to develop a plan which identifies the O&M work to be performed, O&M procedures, O&M staffing and management/operation approach. The contractor may then be required to implement the plan by performing facility operation, preventive maintenance, commissioning and other incidental activities associated with operation and maintenance of the facility for a specified period of time. These O&M services may include but are not limited to those normally associated with the O&M of systems and functions inherent in Government facilities such as medical, non-medical, training, administrative, plants, labs and storage; it will also include custodial and grounds maintenance for those facilities. The proposed contract type is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ), using firm fixed price (FFP) and time and materials (T&M) tasks. Preference will be given to making multiple awards. If multiple awards are made, the total obligated amount for all contracts will not exceed $26,500,000 for the entire contract period, including option years, if exercised. The contract period shall be five years (one base year plus four option years). Offerors responding to this announcement shall reference DACA87-96-R-0046.
