Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company (TOLIC), which currently is under contract with Health Care Financing Administration for Medicare Part B claims processing, is requesting quotations for consultants to assess TOLIC's ability to comply with the FAR's Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Candidates must be familiar with the preparation of the disclosure statement and well versed in various accounting allocation methodologies. Emphasis should be concentrated on compliance with CAS 403. Specific tasks will be to 1) Assess compliance areas 2) Identify recommendations for compliance 3) Preparation of disclosure statement 5) Prepare and conduct senior management briefing of CAS assessment. Consultants must be available to begin mid September, 1996 with assessment report and recommendations completed by March 31, 1997. Consultant must be able to perform work at TOLIC's site at 1150 S. Broadway, Los Angeles. Interested parties must respond in writing by August 30th, to include the following information: Previous client experience, personnel experience, a timeline schedule outlining key deliverables, Rates and anticipated hours for individual key deliverables, and a Sample contract. Responses will be reviewed and evaluated 60% on cost and 40% on meeting the specified criteria as noted above. Quotations must be submitted no later than August 30, 1996.
