J -- DRYDOCKING REPAIRS USNV BATTLE POINT, YTT-10 SOL N00253-96-B-0001 POC Contact Point, R. Diane Crocker, Fax 360/396-7036 Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform Drydock repairs and modifications to the USNV Battle Point, YTT-10. Vessel characteristics are 186 feet 6 inches overall length; 40 feet maximum beam; 10 feet 5 inches, forward, 10 feet 4 inches, aft, maximum navigable draft; and 1,187 long tons, full 1,070 long tons, light, maximum draft displacement. Following is an example of the work to be performed: 1. Hull cleaning and preservation. 2. ABS 2nd periodical surveys and a tail shaft survey. 3. Port and starboard z-drive repair and modification. 4. Clean and inspect all fuel, potable water, oily waste, and ballast tanks. 5. Clean and inspect bilges. 6. Replace hull zinc anodes. 7. Clean and inspect sewage tank. 8. Remove approximately 10 inches of stub pipe from sewage tank and repair penetration opening. 9. Accomplish transducer drop pipe installation. 10. Accomplish Grey water tank installaions and piping modifications. 11. Accomplish A/C and auxiliary seawater piping mods. 12. Inspect, repair (ABS) and or replace seawater valves and check valves. 13. Refurbish main propeller. 14. Clad weld repair approximately 10 inches of the tail shaft journal area. 15. Clean and preserve seachests and gratings. 16. Repair main shaft stern tube seal. 17. Clean and pressure test skeg. 18. Install reversible deck socket. The vessel's availability period is on or about 01 November 96. The performance period shall be about six weeks. Contractor shall furnish a sound dry-dock in yard owned by prime contractor. Contractor shall provide a certified Dockmaster and qualified personnel to dock and undock the vessel. The dock must be located within 50 miles of Keyport, Wa. The IFB shall be issued on or about 03 September 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Only faxed requests for the bid will be accepted. (0219)
