A -- FUEL FILTRATION AND ADDITIVE UNIT POC Bill Williams, Project Engineer, 703-704-1820 Robert E. Tobey, Contracting Officer, 703-704-2199. This Market Survey is to determine sources that are either currently marketing or are capable of producing a transportable Fuel Filtration and Additive Unit (apparatus). Target fuels are diesel, distillate and kerosene base, (not gasoline), for both ground vehicle and aviation use. The apparatus should be capable of simultaneously injecting up to 4 fuel additives to treat or upgrade fuels. Nominal fuel pumping rate must be a minimum of 50 GPM. The apparatus should have sufficient fuel storage capacity to hold 500 gallons. The apparatus must be self-contained, requiring no outside power source. Army Transportability and Mobility requirements mandate use of a trailer of not more than 5 ton capacity. Firms having interest, capability and background are invited to submit a statement of their qualifications, experience and developmental capability to produce a fuel filtration and additive unit. All responses should include sufficient information for a determination of availability of qualified and capable sources for the equipment.
