66 -- SDS THERMOCOUPLE SYSTEM PARTS SOL RFQ2-36389(LAS) DUE 081996 POC Contact Point: Lela Stawicki, (415)604-6968 This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA). This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 90-40. Item (1) Programmable Gain/Filters (8 channels), quantity 25, Hewlett Packard Model No. HP E1503A, or equal, with salient characteristics as follows: Gains 1, 8, 64; filter cutoffs (Hz) 2, 10, 100, wideband; programmable from the HP E1413 series mulitplexer with SCPI or register based commands; connects directly to the HP E1413 series VXI card; over-voltage protection and open transducer detection for each channel. Item (2) Current Source (8 channels), quantity 3, Hewlett Packard Model No. HP E1505A, or equal, with salient characteristics as follows: Supplies 8 channels of programmable current source; two current levels, 30 microAmps and 488 microAmps; over- voltage protection on each channel; programmable from HP E1413 series multiplexer with SCPI or register based commands; connects directly to the HP E1413 series VXI card; noise at maximum 15 nanoAmps for 488 MicroAmp source. Item (3) 64 Channel Scanning A/D Converter, quantity 2, Hewlitt Packard Model No. HP E1413C, or equal, with salient characteristics as follows: VXI card, C size, 1 slot; circuit card setup to handle up to 8 signal conditioning plug-in (SCP) cards; sampling rate at 100Ksamples/sec aggregate; autoranging input up to +/- 16 VDC. Built-in engineering units conversion for RTDs, thermistors, thermocouples, strain gages, custom gages. Contains SCPI and register commands to control all types of HP SCP plug-in cards. Provide on board calibration source for a single channel or all channels. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 212-1. The quoter shall complete and submit FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items.FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 are applicable. Under FAR 52.212-5, the following clauses apply to this acquisiton: 52.222-3, 52.233-3, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-3, 52.225-21, 52.214-34, 52.214-35. All quoters shall state in their quote their size status for this procurement. If the end product quoted is other than a domestic end product as defined in the clause entitled Buy American Act - Supplies, the quoter shall so state and list the country of origin. The quoter shall identify place of performance in their quote. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System rating is DO:C9. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing.
