The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with NCR a contract to provide Long term, comprehensive analyst telephone support for NCR applications softwarepackages associated with point-of-sale (pos) to support over 300 stores in the Military service commissary systems which the defense commissary agency (deca) has responsibility for. The period of performance will be from date of award through three years.The software packages associated with the pos systems are the total reporting accounting communications system (tracs), interactive checkout system (ICs), interactive multiprocessing operating system version V (imov V), price change system (PCS) and operationalissues with Bass and MEI support packages. The types of hardware deca has currently installed at all commissaries are: NCR 1255 terminals, NCR 2552 terminals, NCR 255 terminals, NCR 9150 processors, NCR 9020 processors,8258 processors, 8257 processors, NCR 2126 terminals/systems, NCR PCS, NCR 2127 terminals/systems, NCR 450 Tower systems and NCR 500 towersystems. A thorough knowledge of deca'S Operations as It relates to Back office and selling floor Operations, that includes the hardware equipment listedabove, as well a checker Operations, supervisor functions, and balancing procedures as they relate to all the various systems currently installed in deca commissaries.
