Ficken (410) 278-2387 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Garrison, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), requires the Renovation of Building E-5179, bounded by Webster, Hoadley, and Black Hawk Roads, and located in the Edgewood Area of APG. The renovation of E-5179 is comprised of: (1) the demolition of the existing loading dock, (2) the demolition of the remains of the obsolete loading dock, (3) selected demolition of the existing building, (4) construction of two new loading docks, and (5) selected construction to the building. The new docks are referred to as the North Dock and the South Dock based on their position on the east wall of the existing building. Each new dock is to be equipped with the following: one 10'-0'' wide by 9'-2'' high overhead door, one 3'-0'' by 7'-2'' steel door, one dock leveler (3,500 lb. capacity, plus or minus 12'' vertical movement), and a a set of stairs to the grade. The new construction items include: (1) two new concrete dock platforms, (2) new masonry walls at the existing building, (3) new masonry columns, (4) new wood roof structure, and (5) new composition shingle roofing. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contract period of performance will be 120 calendar days after receipt of proper performance and payment bonds and issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
