Z -- INSTALLATION OF EMPLOYEE RESTROOMS AT THE U.S. FEDERAL BUILDING, 100 S. WARREN AVENUE, SAGINAW, MICHIGAN SOL GS05P96GAC0257 DUE 092496. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to selective demolition of existing storage room for the installation of new women's and men's toilet rooms. Construct new slab to slab walls with steel studs and dry wall. Plumbing walls shall be concrete masonry units to support wall-mounted fixtures. Sinks, toilets and wall partitions shall be wall-mounted for ease of cleaning. The men's restroom shall be single occupancy and include a lavatory and toilet. The women's restroom shall include one lavatory and two toilets. Walls shall have ceramic tile up to 12'' below the ceiling and on the floor. The ceiling shall have water resistant lay-in acoustical tile. Both restrooms will be fully handicap accessible. To provide privacy, the windows shall have translucent glass and mini-blinds installed. SSA shall select the finishes. This area is constructed on a concrete slab. Both hot and cold piping shall come from overhead out of the mechanical room, The pipes shall be insulated above the ceiling. There is a small transom window above the 9' window that can be used for venting. The completion time for this project is 135 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. Specifications will be available on or about August 21, 1996. Sealed bids will be opened publicly on September 24, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. (CST). This procurement is set aside to small business concerns only in accordance with the small business competitive demonstration program. The small business size standard for this project is $17 million. Currently, funds are not available.
