232098-96-A-0232 DUE 090396. Contact, Architect-Engineer Firm of Larson
& Ludwig, Attn: Nick Nasick, 806 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222,
telephone: 412-338-4862. A Contractor will be awarded a contract to
build a 12,595 square foot post office of non-load bearing decorative
concrete masonry with structural steel framing members and joists. A.
Civil and site work will be required (1) cut and fill as required to
prepare site for construction; (2) provide erosion and sedimentation
control; (3) provide storm water management and a site detention pond;
(4) provide all necessary utilities for Post Office: electricity,
water, gas and sewage; (5) construct a private road through the site
from Route 22 to School House Road; (6) provide all necessary site
infrastructure; paved parking, concrete walks, curbing lighting and
signage; (7) provide landscaping. B. Architectural and Structural Work:
(1) The new post office will contain general components - retail area,
workroom, support areas, security office, and loading dock with
covered carrier loading platform. (2) Provide interior finishes: vinyl
composition tile in the workroom and support areas, ceramic tile and
carpet in the retail area; painting of all interior wall surfaces, and
a suspended acoustical ceiling system; (3) provide custom casework in
the Retail area, installation of Postal supplied post boxes, equipment
and interior signage; C. Mechanical and Plumbing: (1) installation of
HVAC system required to support new facility; (2) provide all necessary
supply and waste piping to the locker and toilet rooms required to
support the new facility; (3) an automatic fire suppression system is
not required for the new facility; D. Electrical: (1) provide the
necessary power and lighting required to support the new facility; (2)
provide and install all necessary devices for the completion of the
following systems: fire alarm, security/intrusion detection, and
data/point of sales (20 Base T, LAN). The established range is
$1,000,000 to $200,000,000 with completion of work within 280 days.
Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 1996. The package
will be available on or about August 1, 1996 from the
Architect-Engineer, Larson & Ludwig at a cost of $100.00 per package,
non-refundable. Make check/money orders payable to: U. S. Postal
Service, referencing RFP #232098-96-A-0232. Please do not send cash.

publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identify of the
offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of the
offer will not be disclosed to anyone except those postal personnel
whose official duties require such information until award of the
