MA 01760-5017 A -- NOTICE: SOLDIER GROUND MOBILITY INDUSTRY DAY SOL W13G07-CBD6-0032
POC Alan Goldberg, (508) 233-4244 (Site Code DAAK60) The U.S. Army
Soldier Systems Command, Natick Research Development and Engineering
Center will be hosting a Soldier Ground Mobility Industry Day on 30
October 1996 at our Natick, Massachusetts facility. The purpose of the
event is to provide our industry partners with an opportunity to meet
face-to-face with our engineers and managers to hear our plans and
share ideas. We are looking for new concepts and equipment improvements
that will help the Soldier ''be all he can be.'' The Soldier Ground
Mobility Program (SGMP) seeks to provide technical enhancements for
improved speed and efficiency, increased load carriage capability,
reduced injuries, improved reliability, and lower weight equipment and
devices. Soldier Ground Mobility Industry Day will encompass a broad
range of capabilities that provide the individual soldier with improved
ground mobility; from snow and ice traversing and mountaineering
equipment, and off-body load carriage equipment such as bikes and
carts, to orthotic injury reduction devices and power-assisted
exoskeletal strength and speed enhancers. Army managers will provide
presentations and displays on current SGMP and related programs.
Attendees are invited to give presentations, provided they are limited
to 10 minutes. Breakout rooms will be available for one-on-one
discussions with the Government. There is no registration fee. All
attendees must preregister by 30 September 1996. Please let us know if
you wish to make a presentation. Please forward your name, company,
