The 38 Logistics Squadron intends to modify a sole source Communication Service Authorization(CSA) for local telephone service for the COLORADO AIR NATIONAL GUARD FACILITIES AT BUCKLEY FIELD ANGB, AURORA CO. The intended contractor is U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC shall provide the following services: (1) Commercial trunks and commercial business lines, for common user dial service within the local exchange area. (2) Inter/Intra Exchange Channel/Mileage from the base to various off premise locations throughout the local exchange area. The intended modification will extend the period of performance of the current CSA until 7 Oct 2000. The primary place of performance will be the COLORADO AIR NATIONAL GUARD FACILITIES AT BUCKLEY FIELD ANGB, AURORA CO. This acquisition is conducted under the Air Force's regulatory delegation of GSA's exclusive procurement authority for Federal Information Processing (FIP) resources. This sole source acquisition is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC is the only local exchange carrier (LEC) who has the approval of the Public Utilities Commission at each location above to provide the required telephone service within the Local Access and Transport Area (LATA).
