The Department of Commerce proposed to acquire two Diesel Engines as replacement main engines in NOAA Ship OREGON II. The engines shall be Caterpillar Model 3512, or equal. Each engine shall be rated for 850-950 horsepower at 1200 RPM. The overall dimensions shall not exceed 120-inches length by 68-inches width by 86-inches height.
