Eglin AFB has a requirement to Repair Storm Damage to Bldg. 12531, Eglin AFB FL. Presolicitation notice previously sent. The purpose of this project is to repair all storm damage to Bldg. 12531 and to restore the building to its condition prior to the damage. All materials, equipment and supplies to be used in the repair work shall be of type, size, function, appearance and color to match original items and shall provide equal performance characteristics. All work shall be performed in accordance with and shall meet the requirements of the Southern Standard Building Code. The repair work to be performed includes replacing metal siding metal roofing, purins and girts with new; replacing metal roll-up doors and exit doors with new; replacing electrical service, lighting, power and fire alarm system with new; and providing a new ventilation system. Contract will be for a period of 120 calendar days. Bid opening of 16 Aug 96 is only an estimated date. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
