214/819-7275. The new Washington Park Station is a one-story brick
building with combination brick, EIFS, glazing and CMU veneers on steel
frame construction and is approximately 17,400 adjusted gross interior
square feet. Handicap accessibility features are incorporated to meet
USPS RE-14 regulations. Several alternates are to be included in
submittal. The site is located at the southeast corner of Tobin Place
and Paisano Road in El Paso. Estimated cost range $1,100,000-$1,400,000
and construction time is 240 calendar days. Successful offeror must
submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and
Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress
payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority
business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total
value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all
proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100%
Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight(48) hours after
notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior
to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on August 23, 1996. Proposal
documents, plans and specifications will be available on July 24, 1996
at a cost of $75.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money
order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to Hastings
Trevino & Trevino, Inc. 131 E. Exchange Boulevard, Suite 223, Fort
Worth, TX 76106-8244, Telephone: 817/624-4002. Checks or money orders
must be made payable to HASTINGS TREVINO & TREVINO. Since this is a
request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number
of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one
offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone
until after award of a contract is made and the request is submitted
in writing. Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and any
questions and/or information regarding this solicitation may be

encouraged to submit their proposal by one of the methods offered by
