66 -- AC RESISTANCE BRIDGES SOL 53SBNB6C9256 DUE 081296 POC Sandra Febach (301) 975-6326, FAX (301) 963-7732 The National Institute of Standards and Technology has a requirement to purchase two (2) AC resistance bridges with the following specifications: (1) Resistance ratio should have a resolution of 0.1 ppm from the front panel and 0.01 ppm over the IEEE-488 bus of the full range reading; (2) Ratios should be measureable over a range from 0 to 1.299 999 9 using external resistance standards ranging between 1 ohm and 200 ohms; (3) Accuracy of the bridge should be 0.1 ppm of the ratio, with no more than 1 nV rms detector error; (4) Carrier frequency of the bridge should be selectable between 30 Hz and 90 Hz; (5) Detection bandwidth should be selectable over a range from 0.5 Hz to 0.02 Hz; (6) Sensor currents should be selectable at the following values: (0.1, 0.2, 0.5) x (1, 10, 100) x (1.0 mA, 1.414 mA); (7) The bridge should be capable of manual or automatic balancing of both the in-phase and quadrature components of the signal; (8) An analog output of +/- 10 V should be supplied; (9) The input noise impendance should be selectable as 1 ohm, 10 ohms, or 100 ohms; (10) The bridge should have a 115 V, 60 Hz power supply; (11) Connection cables, instruction manual, and a rack mountable case should be provided; and (12) The bridge should be equipped with an IEEE-488 interface capable of controlling all bridge settings and of transmitting measurement results. NIST will provide as a trade-in an ASL model F 18 AC resistance bridge with serial #605-002/016. The trade-in unit has sustained damage in shipping and is supplied in as-is condition. Offers received should include any trade in allowance. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 53SBNB6C9256 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38. This solicitation is unrestricted. The applicable SIC code is 3825. Delivery shall be FOB Destination within 60 days after contract award. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. Offers shall include appropriate product literature, or a statement of capability which clearly documents that offered products meet or exceed the above specifications.
