The work to be performed consists of construction of a soldier community building and two 48-unit barracks buildings. This project is designed using modular hard metric materials. Exterior walls consist of load bearing concrete masonry units with brick veneer. Interior walls will be non-load bearing steel studs. The roofs will be shingled. Heating and cooling will be done by fan coil units supplied with hot and chilled water. The hot water will be provided from high efficiency boilers in the soldier community building. Chilled water will be provided from an existing central plant. Other site work includes utility extensions and connections, underground electrical service, roads, walks, curb and gutter, and parking.
