NETHERLANDS: SOFT DRINKS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.207. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: NETHERLANDS. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Exemption Regulation for Soft Drinks which are High in Caffeine (2 pages, available in English). 6. Description of content: The Regulation sanctions the use of soft drinks which are high in caffeine subject to specific labeling requirements. 7. Objective and rationale: There is an increasing demand from the market for permission to trade in soft drinks with a high caffeine content. There are no objections to this, provided that the consumer is sufficiently made aware of this high content. 8. Relevant documents: Commodity Act Governing Soft Drinks. 9.
