(703)604-2968 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to release a
Request for Proposal (RFP) for engineering technical services in
support of the Tactical Training Ranges Program Office (PMA-248) which
develops and supports tactical training range instrumentation,
simulators and equipment for the Navy and Marine Corps, and under joint
agreements for the Air Force and Army. Solicitation No.
N00019-96-R-0033 will contain a base year plus four option years
estimated at 20,000 hours per year, of which the prime contractor will
perform at least 50%. A secret security facility will be required. The
required services will include highly specialized engineering,
technical and analytical support services for PMA-248. Needed products
and services include the development of strategic plans, concepts of
operation for air/sea/ground training systems, and designs and
specifications for and performing interoperability analyses and
engineering consultation. No further synopsis for the subject effort
will be published. All interested parties may request a copy of
Solicitation No. N00019-96-R-0033. The Navy intends to release the
Request for Proposal (RFP) via the Internet. Requests for RFPs may be
sent via E-mail to STRONGSC.JFK@NAVAIR.NAVY.MIL with a copy to
SHEPLEYT.JFK@NAVAIR.NAVY.MIL. Written requests may be sent to the Naval
Air Systems Command, AIR-2.5.1.1, 1421 Jefferson Davis Highway,
Arlington, VA 22243-5120. Facsimile (FAX) requests are also acceptable
(at 703-604-2968). NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED OR RETURNED.
ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO USE THE INTERNET TO
RESPOND. All Internet responses should give the Requestor's return
Internet address and mailing address in the body of the response.
Internet responses without a return address will not be recognized. The
solicitation will be made available over the Internet in a WORD 6.0
format and will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page on the World Wide Web
server which may be accessed using client browsers such as MOSAIC.
Offerors who have requested a copy of the RFP will be notified via
