McDaniel, Contracting Officer The Navy requires 29,710 each Suspension Bands and 5,921 each Timer Guard Assemblies.The Suspension Bands consist of two (2) halves made of round carbon bar steel with a 1 1/2degree offset. Each Suspension Band half is cadmium-plated. The two halves are assembled witha screw, washer, and wing nut. This item is used to suspend a MK 58 Marine Location Markerfrom an airplane external carriage. Suspension Bands are packaged in a shipping container IAWPPP-B-636. The Timer Guard consists of two (2) main parts, the Connector and AttachmentPlate. The Attachment Plate is welded to the Connector and a 5 1/2 inch hose clamp is attachedto the assembly using rivets. The two main parts are made of Aluminum Alloy 6061. This item isused to protect the timer for a final inspection and acceptance at NSWC Crane. Thisprocurementhis agency. (0201)
