(SIC 3826) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The request
for quotation number is EASC 96-2357 and closes July 10, 1996 at 2:00.
The Request for Quote document incorporates provisions and clauses
effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The equipment is
as follows: one (1) each of items 1-7. FieldSpec UV/VNIR (350-1050nm)
Spectroradiometer (10400). A field portable, lightweight, 512 channel,
photo-diode array spectroradiometer covering the 350-1050 nm range. 1.5
meter fiber optic input is included. The full 350-1050nm raw dn or
reflectance spectrum is displayed in real-time. Irradiance and radiance
calculation and display are included in post processing. The
integration time can be set as low as 17 milliseconds and up to 31.800
spectra can be averaged. The built-in notebook computer this version
contains a 3.5'' floppy drive, 488 sl-25 microprocessor, 300 mb hard
disk, and 8 mb ram as standard. Data acquired using this instrument
must be compatible with above water optical data processing routines
developed at the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC. All ASD
spectrometers include a 1 year limited Warranty including experienced
technical support via telephone, fax, or e-mail. 10 degrees UV/VNIR FOV
lense foreoptic. (12105). Radiometric Calibration of 10 deg UV/VNIR FOV
lens foreoptic. ASD must install this calibration at the time of the
initial order. FieldSpec Full sky irradiance remote cosine receptor
(RCR) (12450). Radiometric Calibration of RCR installed by the factory
(70155). Radiometric calibration of Bare FR fiberoptic cable installed
by the factory (70150). 5x5 inch (12.7 x 12.7cm) uncalibrated white
spectralon target (12803). All quotes are to be FOB destination, with
delivery to USDOC, NOAA, Coastal Services Center, 2224 South Hobson
Ave., Charleston, SC 29405-2413. State best availability. Provisions at

All part numbers listed are Analytical Spectral Devices. Equals will be
accepted. If an equal is provided, descriptive literature must
