This project involves the abatement of asbestos in five buildings at the Red Rock Job Corps Center located in Lopez, Pennsylvania. The work consists of the removal and disposal of asbestos- containing pipe insulation in Buildings Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10; and the replacement with new pipe insulation in all affected areas. The period of performance for the project is 112 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of the project. The estimated cost range of the project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Initial Plans and Specifications will be available on August 1, 1996, only from the Architect/Engineer firm of David Lynch & Associates, 500 Golf Road, Lancaster, Pennsylvania 17602. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications should be directed the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Plans and specifications will be made available for pick up at the A/E's office and also for delivery at an additional charge. Requests must be in writing and will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting Officer,) plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable,) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for August 15, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. (local) at the Red Rock Job Corps Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids.
