Work includes removing ACM in crawl space, remove VCT throughout building as ACM. Remove asbestos plaster ceilings. Paint all previously painted surfaces. Refinish all doors. Doors are stained and varnished glass panel wood doors with transoms. Provide wood paneling in second floor conference room. Replace acoustical suspended ceilings and light fixtures in corridors and other areas. Remove wood paneling in main lobbies, repair plaster and provide multi-color paint. Provide carpeting in offices and corridors. Provide paver tile flooring at entrances, lobbies and main stair. Remove approximately 1000 sf of lead paint. Replace toilet partitions. Work includes electrical and communications system demolition providing new electrical system complete with, but not limited to, outlets, fixtures, devices, wires, switches, conduits, raceways, supports and alterations, modifications, and/or extensions to the existing electrical system. Also included are telephone and computer data wire supporting structures, including conduits and raceways and terminal boxes, outlet and junction boxes and other accessories for telephone/data system outlets. Work also includes replacement of broken or missing roofing slates. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Pursuant to P.L. 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is classified as unrestricted. Requests for copies of this proposed procurement should be submitted in writing, state the solicitation number, and provide complete name, address, phone number and business size of the requestor. Additionally, requestors should indicate whether they intend to bid as a prime contractor, sub-contractor or supplier. Telephone and Telefax requests for copies of the solicitation or bidders' lists will not be accepted. Requests should be received as soon as possible in order to facilitate mailing of same, to the extent copies are available, directly to the inquirer at time of issuance. Availability of the solicitation is limited and will be furnished on a first received first served basis. Requests received later than 10 days prior to the established bid opening date may not be honored due to lack of sufficient time to obtain additional copies should demands for same be substantial.
